Travel diaries – Part 1

Hello guys, I am sharing with you one of my travel experiences which made me realize a lot of things about life.

I had an opportunity to travel to Badrinath temple, which is considered as one of the “char dhams”. It is a very sacred place for us and is quite auspicious to travel there.

It is considered to be a holy town, situated in the hilly area of Chamoli district in Uttarakhand. The famous temple is visited by lakhs of people all around the year and is home to Lord Vishnu.

The doors to this religious place opens around May and closes around the start of winter season. The place has a variety of attractions to offer other than the temple.

I was approached by my college friends to go for a trip to Badrinath, Mana and valley of flowers all together. It was a great plan, and I decided to join them on this journey.

We started from Srinagar town in the district Srinagar garhwal. The plan was to travel to Joshimath by car(Bolero), and set up base there, and then go from there to all the pre-decided places.

We were a total of 6 friends with limited budget(we were studying at the moment), the main focus was on full enjoyment as it was a road trip. I was set as the designated driver, because well, I love driving on a silent road and where there is nature all around and no hassles of traffic, over crowding of roads and abuses.

It was going to be a 4 day journey, with 2 cases of chilled beer to get us started(I did not drink and drive😂😉).

1. First day would be to reach Joshimath.

2. Second day would be Badrinath temple and Vasudhara waterfall.

3. Third day was Valley of flowers.

4. Fourth was undetermined, as it would depend on the cash situation, so it was undecided yet.

Withall the proper equipments, we set upon the journey to find something meaningful in the land of gods, with high(😋) hopes I started the car and pressed the accelerator towards our destination.

To be continued…
